Day 1 - Belize City to Lamanai

Upon arrival in Belize City International Airport you will be greeted by our local representative and taken to your first accommodation. Your adventure begins with a drive through villages and tropical scenery. After a brief air conditioned drive north, board a boat for an hour long guided tour, spotting wildlife on the waterways that lead to Lamanai Outpost Lodge. Offering a wonderful atmosphere with attention to detail, each of the Outpost's cabanas offers rustic elegance while blending in with the lush tropical gardens. This evening enjoy a sumptuous dinner before retiring to your jungle cabana.

Days 2-3 - Explore Lamanai

Situated on the banks of a 28 mile long spring fed lagoon amid the remnants of a major Maya city, the Lamanai Outpost Lodge is ideally positioned for explorations into the field. The area is yours to explore independently or by guided safari into some of the most remote habitats in Belize. Whether it's spotting toucan, manatee, and jaguarondi as you ply the waterways by boat or exploring ancient Mayan temples on foot you will experience a secluded world that few are fortunate enough to see. Each day travelers may choose two guided excursions into the surrounding wilderness. Just a few of the possible adventures include: exploring the near by savannah wetlands and tributaries in search of the nesting sites of the Morelet's crocodile, a guided morning trek through the jungle as you follow troops of howler monkeys foraging in the canopies above, or visiting a local family for a traditional home cooked Mayan lunch. Regardless of the activities, your experiences are sure to stay with you for a lifetime.

Day 4 - Jungle to Beach

After breakfast transfer back to Belize City where you will board your short flight south to the Placencia Peninsula. After touching down in Placencia you will be greeted and transferred to, Chabil Mar Villas. Upon entering the villas you will be taken back by the unique designs, attention to detail, and creative artwork which define Chabil Mar Villas and compliment this spectacular tropical setting. Generous floor plans, full size kitchens, and large verandas round off the inimitable Caribbean experience of your new beachside home. After settling in the afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy your new environs with a paddle in the Placencia lagoon, a trip into the town of Placencia, or simply by relaxing on the dock or beach just outside your villa.

Day 5 - Caye Adventure

Today enjoy the reefs and islands off the Placencia Peninsula for a day of snorkeling and beach combing on deserted cayes (pronounced "keys") in the world famous Belize Barrier Reef. See a multitude of coral formations and swim amongst a wide variety of brilliantly colored tropical fish on this full day snorkeling and swimming adventure. Between snorkeling dives relax for lunch under the palms on a deserted island. After returning from the reef, swap stories of your day on the reef while the sun sets over the Caribbean.

Days 6-7 - Caribbean Coast

Awaken to the sound of the gentle surf quietly lapping at the shore. This tranquil spot on the Caribbean Sea is a great place to conclude your AdventureSmith Exploration. Additional activity options (not included) in Placencia include more snorkeling, SCUBA diving, spin and fly fishing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, bicycling, a day trip to the Monkey River, the Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary, or a visit to the village of Placencia.

Day 8 - Depart Placencia

Return to the Placencia airport for your short flight back to Belize City.

Arrival & Departure: The Belize in Style Adventure begins and ends in Belize City. Please plan flights to arrive any time on day 1 and depart in the afternoon on day 8 of the outlined itinerary from Belize City International Airport.

Payment & Cancellation: In order to confirm this trip, a deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking. A Reservation Form, which includes a release of liability, must be completed and signed by all travelers. The balance of the trip price is due 90 days before the departure date. Guests who must cancel their trip for any reason must do so in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following fees, based on number of days prior to departure:
Up to 91 days - 50% of deposit
90 to 31 days - 50% of total trip cost
30 to 0 days - 100% of total trip cost
