The Adriatic Odyssey aboard the 49-guest S/C Panorama hugs the eastern shoreline of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, visiting Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece. Experience a harmonious balance between conventional cruising and private yachting, along with an exciting voyage of discovery, unravelling the wonders this treasured coastline. Each day you will discover a new port of call, a hidden cove with cooling crystal-blue waters, glimpses of ancient history and rich cultural diversity.

Day 1 - WED - Embark Dubrovnik, Croatia

Arrive in Dubrovnik for a 3 pm embarkation. Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea coast positioned at the terminal end of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic, a seaport and the center of Dubrovnik-Neretva county. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The prosperity of the city of Dubrovnik has always been based on maritime trade. Although demilitarized in the 1970s with the intent of forever protecting it from war devastation, in 1991, after the breakup of Yugoslavia, it was besieged by Serb-Montenegrin forces for 7 months and heavily damaged by shelling. Spend your first night at port in this historic city.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: dinner

Day 2 - THU - Korcula, Croatia

Depart early for the island of Korcula, the birthplace of legendary Marco Polo. Sail north and enjoy a morning swim stop. An afternoon arrival in Korcula Port allows you to enjoy an optional excursion. Korcula is in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia. The island lies just off the Dalmatian coast. Its 16,182 (2001) inhabitants make it the second most populous Adriatic island after Krk. The island was first settled by Mesolithic and Neolithic peoples, and there iis archaeological evidence at the sites of Vela Spila and Jakas Cave near the village of Zrnovo. The finds of Vela Spila are on display at the Center for Culture in Vela Luka. The fate of these peoples is not known, but the sites provide a window into their way of life. Spend the night at sea as you head south on your way to Bar, Montenegro.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 3 - FRI - Bar, Montenegro

Morning swim stop near Bar with a midday arrival. Bar is a coastal town in Montenegro. Like most Montenegrin towns, throughout its history Bar has belonged to various civilizations and cultures. What makes it stand out among Montenegrin towns today is that it is representative of several of these cultures, both past and present. Here, the heritage of one epoch would become the ground for development of the next. In the new heritage one could always clearly recognize the achievements of its predecessor. Enjoy an afternoon excursion to Stari Bar - The Old Bar - a charming fortified city. Overnight at sea to Paxos, Greece, the southernmost point of this cruise.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 4 - SAT - Paxos Island, Greece

Upon arrival at the island of Paxos enjoy a midday swim near port. You will be amazed by the crystal-clear sea and the natural beauty of the island. Paxi or Paxoi is the name given to the smallest group of the Ionian Islands (the Heptanese). In Greek it is a plural form and it refers to a complex of islands, the largest of which are Paxos and Antipaxos (a smaller nearby island famous for its wine, and two of the finest sandy beaches in the Ionian Sea). The main town of Paxoi, and the seat of the municipality, is Gaios. In Greek mythology, Poseidon created the island by striking Corfu with his trident, so that he and wife Amphitrite could have some peace and quiet. Sail into port in the late afternoon and overnight in Paxos Port.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 5 - SUN - Corfu, Greece

The ship departs Paxos at dawn to reach Corfu, a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, early in the morning. Corfu's Venetian and Italian style fascinates travelers; it iis the second largest of the Ionian Islands. The island is connected to the history of Greece from the beginning of Greek mythology. Its Greek name, Kerkyra or Korkyra, is related to two powerful water symbols: Poseidon, god of the sea, and Asopos, an important Greek mainland river. The island's history is laden with battles and conquests. The legacy of these struggles is visible in the form of castles punctuating strategic locations across the island. Two of these castles enclose Corfu's capital, which is the only city in Greece to be surrounded in such a way.

An optional full day excursion visits many marvels of this romantic city including the Fortress, the Aghios Spiridonos Cathedral (theprotector of Corfu) and the Anchillion Palace, once the summer retreat of the Empress of Austria, Elizabeth of Bacaria, aslo known as Sissi. Overnight in Corfu port.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 6 - MON - Saranda, Albania

Early-morning sailing to Saranda, Albania where you will have the opportunity to join an optional excursion. Saranda is one of the most important tourist attractions of the Albanian Riviera. It is situated on an open sea gulf of the Mediterranean's Ionian Sea, two nautical miles from the Greek island of Corfu. The city of Saranda has a population of about 30,000 (2001 estimate). Near Sarandė are the remains of the ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Natural and man-mande disasters emptied the city; over five centuries it became buried under silt and vegetation, only to be rediscovered in the 1990s. Alongside its ethnic Albanian majority, Saranda is home to an ethnic Greek minority and considered one of the centers of the Greek minority in Albania. Afternoon sailing to Kotor, Montenegro.

Accommodations: Panorama
Included Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 7 - TUE - Kotor, Montenegro

Incredible scenery surrounds you as the boat sails into the fjord-like Bay of Kotor and docks at the Port of Montenegro. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the Republic of Venice, and Venetian influence remains predominant in the city's architecture. The Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea, is sometimes called the southernmost fjord in Europe (though it is actually a submerged river canyon). Kotor is home to one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic. An optional guided walking tour visits the maritime museum, some of the city's Romanesque churches and the imposing St Tryphon Cathedral built in 1166. Together with the nearby overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovcen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape. Overnight in Kotor.
