Day 1 - SAT - Embark Sitka
Explore Sitka’s popular attractions: Sheldon Jackson Museum, Russian Bishop’s house and St. Michael’s Cathedral. Board a deluxe tour boat for a “Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest” excursion into beautiful Sitka Sound. Home to marine mammals, Sitka Sound counts gray, humpback and killer (orca) whales, eagles, brown bears, sea otters, and Steller sea lions amongst its abundant wildlife. Your jet tour boat will rendezvous with the Admiralty Dream in a protected cove for a safe, easy transfer to your cruise vessel. After getting settled in your cabin, enjoy an eventful evening of welcome-aboard activities followed by a gourmet dinner.

Day 2 - SUN - Kake
Cruise the east coast of Baranof Island where you’ll spot humpback whales and other marine wildlife in Chatham Strait. After entering Frederick Sound, stop into Kake, a traditional Tlingit Indian village. Here see the “World’s Largest Totem,” a carving demonstration, a salmon hatchery and a bear viewing platform.

Day 3 - MON - Petersburg
Petersburg is a charming fishing town established by Norwegian fishermen in the late 1800s. At the Sons of Norway Hall, enjoy a Norwegian folk dance show performed by Petersburg’s children. You will have time on your own to take a short walk to Eagle Park, explore Sing Lee Alley or shop downtown.

Highlights of the scenic state capital include the Mendenhall Glacier and Mount Roberts Tram. We’ll depart Juneau to Colt Island and go ashore to Orca Point Lodge for an Alaskan salmon and king crab dinner.

Day 7 - FRI - Glacier Bay National Park
A Glacier Bay National Park Service ranger leads the day's programming, and a Native Huna Tlingit interpretive naturalist joins in to reveal traditional ties to this ancient treasure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 8 - SAT - Disembark Sitka
Early arrival into Sitka for breakfast and disembarkation. Those with early flights are transferred to the airport. Those with later flights or staying over at local hotels may join a post-cruise shore excursion in Sitka guided by the Expedition Leader. A walk up to Castle Hill (site of the transfer ceremony of Alaska from Russian to USA in 1867) is followed by a visit to St Michael’s Cathedral, the Russian Orthodox Church that has been at the center of Sitka for nearly two hundred years. Enjoy an exclusive tour from a local guide who explain the numerous and historical icons and basis of the Russian church in Alaska’s history.

We may occasionally alter itineraries slightly for safety, or to take advantage of weather, wildlife and unplanned discoveries. Our ability to be spontaneous makes this style of Alaska small ship cruising unique. Please note that because of Glacier Bay National Park permits, some departures will cruise into Glacier Bay aboard Glacier Bay Day Tour boat the Baranof Wind. Included:
Selected guest cabin facilities; all meals aboard the vessel or where otherwise indicated; selected shore excursions as indicated in itinerary; ground transportation to and from the vessel and airport or
select Sitka hotels; use of recreational equipment at Hobart Bay; all standard on-board services.
Exclusions:
Airfare to and from Alaska; pre- and post-cruise hotel accommodations; non-complimentary beer, wine or alcohol selections; discretionary gratuities to crew; travel insurance; all taxes and port fees ($30-$150 per person depending on cabin category).
Room Configurations:
Single supplement rates are 150% of the double occupancy rate. Single supplement rates are capacity controlled and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Third & fourth persons receive 30% off double occupancy rate.
Families & Children:
Children (15 years and younger) receive 30% off double occupancy rate. Children under 2 are free.
Arrival & Departure:
We highly recommend arriving Sitka one day prior to embarkation in case of any flight delay, cancellation or lost luggage issues. This cruise includes a morning tour of the Russian Bishop house at 9:00am. If arriving on day of departure plan flights to arrive no later than 8:00am to include the tour or no later than 12:30pm to embark the ship at 1:00pm. Plan outbound flights any time after 9:30am.
Payment & Cancellation:
A deposit of $500 is required to secure a reservation. Final payment must reach our office 90 days prior to your cruise departure or in full at the time reservations are confirmed if less than 90 days prior. If this payment is not received in time, your space may be released; rebooking will then be subject to final availability. Deposits and final payments may be made by personal check, wire transfer, money order or credit card.
Guests who must cancel their cruise for any reason, including medical or family reasons, are subject to the following cancellation fees:
90 days or more prior to departure date: $250 per person
89 - 61 days prior to departure date: $500 per person
60 - 31 days prior to departure date: 50% of full fare
30 - 0 days prior to departure date: 100% of full fare
