Tikal and Palenque Escape
"What can we say -- it was fabulous. As important as the sites were the guides -- Alberto "Bird Man" Sanchez at Tikal, Julio Tot Yat in Chiapas, and the site guide at Palenque, Arturo -- and seamless service. As we were leaving the Tikal Acropolis, two pilgrims from Solola arrived and allowed us to take photos, which we will send to them. And we heard howler monkeys from 6-6:20am on Temple IV, one very close. It all felt totally safe, so I shouldn't have worried. I just checked out 6 Maya books and I'm off to yet another library."

“Overall this was an excellent trip experience, complete with great locations, amazing guides and outstanding organization. We greatly enjoyed climbing Pacaya Volcano because it was both challenging and rewarding. Also Ian Andersen’s Caves Branch Jungle Lodge was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.
