Alaska’s Inside Passage: Vancouver & Sitka

Sail from the glacier-carved coasts of Alaska to the cedar-lined shores of British Columbia on a voyage through the heart of the Inside Passage. Navigate fjords shaped by ice and time, where whales surface in calm waters and forested mountains rise through the mist. Along the way, visit communities that embody a deep connection between culture and nature, from Alaska’s Tlingit traditions to British Columbia’s maritime heritage. Each day brings a new facet of this remarkable region—its wildlife, its stories and its enduring sense of wonder.

Take in epic scenery from atop Greg Mortimer: Lindblad’s hydraulic viewing platforms, which extend over the sea to offer an extraordinary vantage point for spotting breaching whales, calving glaciers and soaring eagles. Hosting approximately 154 guests, this small ship features an innovative bow designed for efficiency and comfort. This modern expedition ship serves as an ideal base for immersive exploration, whether you’re navigating icy channels, kayaking along rugged coasts, or trekking in pristine wilderness.

Throughout your travels, discover little-known coves and inlets of the Inside Passage by kayak, and seek out a host of wildlife, from brown bears and moose to several species of whale. Navigate spectacular icebergs—and watch for new ones calving—as you explore glaciers by Zodiac. Kayak along sheer cliffs and forested backwaters in Misty Fjords National Monument. Explore the wild and remote areas of Southeast Alaska by special use permit with the Tongass National Forest.

This itinerary offers you a choice of directions—embark from Vancouver to travel north to Sitka; or head south from Sitka to Vancouver. Elect to combine the experience and choose the 15-day Epic Alaska and British Columbia Itinerary.
