Latin America Sojourn: Costa Rica, Panama & Cartagena

Explore the diverse places of Panama, Costa Rica and Colombia by kayak, skiff and guided hikes on this 11-day adventure cruise. Board the 66-guest Safari Voyager for a cruise through the best of Latin America. Experience the wildlife of the jungle, including monkeys, macaws and butterflies. Discover rainforests, islands, the Panama Canal, history, culture and connection. And revel in daily opportunities for activity and learning.

This cruise to Cartagena, Colombia (or reverse) checks off a lot of boxes. Transit the Panama Canal in late afternoon or at night. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site Coiba National Park. Tour the colorful and colonial walled city of old Cartagena. Meet the indigenous Guna people. Search for marine life and explore Isla Taboga in the Gulf of Panama. On tropical rainforest hikes, watch for howler monkeys, scarlet macaws, white-faced capuchins and sloths. Explore flora and fauna of the mangroves by kayak and skiff. And stroll a private butterfly- and flower-rich tropical preserve.

After a day of exploration, unwind on the luxurious Safari Voyager. The 174-foot M/V Safari Voyager offers advanced expedition functionality for cruising to hard-to-reach places in Central America. She is built to handle the region’s humidity and heat that can challenge lesser-designed vessels.
