The 12-guest Kruzof Explorer, formerly a Bering Sea crab fishing boat, was originally constructed to have one of the toughest hulls on the planet, allowing her the capability to explore remote areas and sail through bodies of water where few other ships can venture. This ship’s work days have come to an end and she has now been transformed into a premier expedition Alaska small ship cruise vessel, ready to take passengers into the depths of the remote Alaskan wilderness.

The spacious dining room, lounge and bar area offers panoramic viewing to ensure guests never miss a moment of the exciting Alaskan terrain and wildlife. The large outdoor deck creates opportunities for wildlife sightings in the fresh Alaskan air while the open bridge allows guests to learn from the captain and crew. The former crab holding tank has been completely transformed into a theater room for nighttime entertainment and lectures.
Activities Aboard Kruzof Explorer
The Kruzof Explorer’s former crab deck provides an ideal platform for a high-speed Zodiac, kayak and paddleboard deployment. The vessel’s five-ton crane, which once hauled king crab pots, easily handles loading and unloading of these expedition craft. The expansive swim step creates an easy in and out for all expedition activities.

Each of the 6 staterooms offers one queen bed (and/or an upper single berth), landscape window, spacious wardrobe and en suite bathroom with a shower. Cabin square footage is approximately 121 square feet.
