Content & Marketing Coordinator
AdventureSmith Explorations is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with our content and marketing needs. The primary responsibility of the Content & Marketing Coordinator is to assist the Content Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Content & Marketing in website updates and marketing promotions. Web content includes but is not limited to itineraries, terms and conditions, prices, dates, images, special offers and accommodation descriptions; marketing content includes email newsletters, press releases, blog posts, social media and more.
This is a full-time position based in Truckee, California, that requires exceptional data entry, writing, grammar and analytical skills with outstanding accuracy and attention to detail. Professional communication and organization skills are also important. It would also be an advantage to have experience with and a passion for adventure travel.
Required skills & experience:
- Individuals who have successfully worked in Content and/or Marketing and/or have a degree in English, Marketing or a similar field.
- Experience with writing and editing for websites, with SEO knowledge a plus.
- Experience with data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Typing/data entry speed and accuracy – 60 words/min.
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word and Excel) and CMS/CRM platforms such as WordPress and Salesforce).
- Experience working in social media.
- Experience in email marketing (knowledge of Salesforce Account Engagement/Pardot or similar platforms a plus).
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom is a plus.
- Experience with digital marketing and/or Adwords a plus.
- Travel experience and content creation surrounding travel is a plus.
Duties include:
- Updating dynamic content on AdventureSmith’s website: itineraries, accommodations, rates, dates, notes, terms, special offers, blog posts, news/awards, testimonials, meta info, etc.
- Editing and resizing images for web content and marketing efforts.
- Writing and editing printed materials and marketing items: brochures, advertising copy.
- Scheduling daily social media postings and other content for marketing/advertising efforts.
This is a full-time office position based in Truckee, California. Yearly salary of $45,000 with health insurance, 401K and paid vacation benefits.
