The leaders were very knowledgeable. It was great the way they kept the three groups from coral one and two separated on the island visits so you felt like it wasn't such a big group.

Only thing we were unaware of, on arrival in Baltra, bus ride to dingy, to 45 min bus ride, to another dingy then to boat. Andrew was very helpful in booking the trip! I would use them again as well!

Islander was an elegant ship extremely clean, comfortable, and perfectly decked out for all the expeditions we went one. Plenty of wet suits and equipment to borrow.

The trip leader (Lynn) and the naturalists were the BEST part of the trip. They knew so much about the region; we would not have had this great an experience with any other leaders.

Great communication from Chris at various intervals before the trip; all documents and info came in timely fashion, and leading up to the trip he called to make sure we didn't have any problems, questions etc. Great customer service. Chris was awesome about getting me comfortable with the choice of vessel and explaining in detail all aspects of the trip. Great outfit.

Traveler Advice

Go for longer trip (8 days or more) rather than a shorter trip, because each island really is different from each other. Splurge to go on Lindblad.

Our hotels were so wonderful! Sol y Luna, Casa Gangotena and Mashpi Lodge were our favorites!

Honestly, our guides made the trip what it was. They were incredibly knowledgeable. I could ask about anything - a shrub I saw on the side of the road, a factory in the distance, questions about the current geopolitical climate - and they were always able to supply an answer. Incredible!! It was so cool to have someone pick us up and drop us off at the airport!

Traveler Advice

Make sure you take sea sickness precautions. We did and did great but several fellow passengers did not and had some miserable bouts. Make sure if there is a particular species you wish to see that you make sure the specific islands you are visiting have them and that they are there when you are traveling.
