Adventure Specialist
Adventure Specialist Arielle Lightcap loves to take the long road, whether it’s from Reno to Atlanta on a cross-country road trip, or traveling to NYC to visit family. And she’s a “polar girl at heart,” thriving while on assignment for AdventureSmith in Antarctica and the Arctic.
Arielle’s favorite thing about her role at AdventureSmith is how she gets to expand her knowledge of the world while working with her clients. “I also love talking to travelers about the destinations I’m familiar with because it reignites the excitement I felt before going.”
As evidenced by her many testimonials below, Arielle is a solid handler of logistics and a calm, steady presence for her traveling clients. She had an extensive and unique professional career in customer service and business development before joining the AdventureSmith crew, and that’s translated into a seamless flow of responsive, detail-oriented travel planning. She rides the ebb and flow of each season to deliver truly remarkable experiences for her clients worldwide.
Drawn to the endless options of outdoor activities the Lake Tahoe region has to offer is what led Arielle to call Truckee, California, her adopted home. A bookworm at heart, she finds the most peace when settled into a cozy place with a book in hand and her cat, Moshe, on her lap. Health and well-being is also important to her, and she practices yoga regularly. In the summer she enjoys hiking, backpacking, biking and paddleboarding, and snowboarding in the winter.
What’s next for this expert trip planner? “The Arctic continues to be at the top of my list for my favorite trip taken to date. It made me feel so connected to the Earth. But I have a lot more of the world to see.” At the top of her bucket list is Madagascar, where she hopes to meet a lemur.
